Fimble exists because too much software is delivered the moment it demos well and abandoned the moment it needs to change. We think the interesting work starts after launch — when real users arrive, the data gets messy, and the original assumptions stop holding.
Why we build our own
Client work teaches you a lot and owns you a little. Building our own products means we carry the consequences of our own decisions: we pick the problem, we pay for getting it wrong, and we are still there in year three when the easy version of the idea has run out.
What we care about
We care about systems that a new engineer can understand in a week, deployments that are unremarkable, and failures that are easy to diagnose. That usually means fewer moving parts than you’d expect, chosen deliberately.
We still take client work
Selected custom platform work funds the products and keeps us honest about how other people’s systems actually fail. If the honest answer is that you don’t need us — or need someone else — we’ll tell you that first.
